DP. Thank you. So sick of sanctimonious liberals who pretend to be pious and holier-than-thou, all while peddling their own complete sh!tshow - one that the nation has rejected soundly.
DP. Are you unfamiliar with the military? They actually have rules about all of this stuff - the Secretary of Defense should know about them and follow them, right?
Old news. The affair he had a decade ago is irrelevant now. Sure, if he has another affair while SoD and starts sharing classified documents with his mistress and compromising security, David Petraeus style, that’s a different story. We’ll see if he can keep his parts to himself.
DP. I forgot about David Petraeus - appointed by Obama, btw.
Didn’t Petraeus resign?
According to two sources, Wiles was briefed Wednesday night about an allegation that Hegseth had acted inappropriately with a woman. One of the sources said the alleged incident took place in Monterey, California in 2017.
According to the transition source, the allegation is serious enough that Wiles and Trump’s lawyers spoke to Hegseth about it on Thursday. A source with knowledge of the meeting said that Hegseth said the allegation stemmed from a consensual encounter and characterized the episode as he-said, she-said.
On Thursday evening, Hegseth’s lawyer Timothy Parlatore said: “This allegation was already investigated by the Monterey police department and they found no evidence for it.”

The only time I’ve seen a service member punished for an affair under UCMJ was if the affair partner was another service member’s spouse (makes for some hard feelings at work!) or if the affair partner was also a service member and it was fraternization, or if the affair comprised their duty/mission/security.
A National Gaurd solider having an affair with a civilian is unlikely to be prosecuted, which is exactly why he wasn’t.
They don’t necessarily get punished under UCMJ, but they do get sidelined. And the stigma that comes with making bad decisions follows them professionally. It’s going to require some serious acting skills for the JCS to pretend to respect this guy.
Oh, please. Absolutely no doubt plenty of these people have their own skeletons.![]()

Yeah, there are likely more affair partners of senate members than there are of members themselves, if you totaled them up.
According to many DCUM posters, affairs and babies born to single mothers are no big deal.
For the millionth time, there are actually rules about this in the military. And consequences. I get that only 1% serve, but the fact that the military has different rules than the rest of the population is pretty elementary.
Like Gen. Petraeus getting an Army Distinguished Service Medal when he retired with a yearly pension of over $200,000?
That WAS a scandal. And it shouldn’t shock you that people at that level get away with more than a Major or Lt Col. It’s not right, but it true. Flynn was a traitor and shouldn’t have his rank or retirement either. He should be in Leavenworth.
Yes, that POS got away with it. The officer he had the affair with got kicked out of the military with no retirement. I wonder why the different treatment....hmmm....let me think....
