It's fine with me if Republicans use the word "woke". Dictionary (slang) definition: "aware of and actively attentive to important societal facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)
When Republicans talk about being woke, though, they use it, I think they are using it sarcastically, as if being aware and actively attention to important issues of racial and social justice isn't a positive thing to be. That's what's wrong. Not the use of the word, but the fact that they sneer at the concept and don't think it's important.
Years ago, "politically correct" was just a term for being very inclusive and polite, trying earnestly not to offend anyone. Then it got used very sarcastically by people. "Woke" is the same thing.
Kamala Harris in that clip, was just using the term "woke" in a non-sarcastic way. It's important to be "woke". It is!
