At NVA? 100%

If these kids are good enough to play up it shouldn’t matter. If they are not then yes nepotism

4th graders kid play up in 7th graders groups, 100% nepo!

They are lead scorers playing 3+ games all fall. Cope harder about your average player. Those girls are amazing everyone knows it.
first the 2013s you talking about are 6th graders. The 2014 is a 5th grader and shes not the leading scorer. Shes too tiny but yes scored off a free kick.

We are talking about different players. There are two former great falls 2014 girls playing 11v11 with the 2013 red team and regularly score game after game; but keep being salty. They got cleared to tryout for nva next year already so you obviously have no idea what you are taking about. Unless you're the pissy parent being rude about them because they took your player's starting position.

Whoa! Where is this coming from? They don't even talk about those 2 girls, I don't know who is salty here. You?
I know that the 2013 team was already good before they joined the team, so don't claim the success because of a new girl, They were just lucky to join the great team!
And because the score doesn't mean they are better than any players, soccer is a team sport, we play as a team!
If the team was loaded already, 1) why did they add to the team and take away from others, 2) what does it teach our children to start with one club and 6 weeks into the season, quite on your teammates and switch to another team. The nepotism culture has a trickle down effect into the decisions that are made. Prioritizing the individual over the development of the team. Your kid is wonderful and the principles of quitting on teammates and playing to win will get them far in life.

They probably had room because the TD’s kid and multiple 2013s play up all the time for 2012 NVA.

That former GFR parent drew some unnecessary attention by posting though. Sidelines will be lit lol
I saw them at a game this fall and saw about 6 kids on the bench for a 9v9 game, sweet playing time.

I was talking NVA not 2013 red.. and only one of the GFR scores for 2013.. and no shes not goal leader… that team on average was scoring 4-5 goals per game….. Prior to GFR girls joining. The best players on that 2013 team are not even playing foward, because the team is loaded.

This is alot of crying about a coach that has coached his team to the top of the table in the first half of the season. Some of what was said is a flat out lie, some was just misleading at best, and the rest was crap from what we can guess is a salty parent who's kid wasn't good enough to make the 2012 team and is now playing at a different club.

You can't possibly be giving credit to DB for the success of a team that was dominating before he got there. If anything they are not living up to their potential with multiple ties against mediocre teams in league play this year.

It’s all DB! Those girls never won until he showed up!
They were top of the table pre-ecnl. This team was good before he got there. How is the 2011 team doing this year compared to last year? Last year 2011s had RP (I believe) and DB now. This team would be the most compatible benchmark for results.

The players he brought in for the 11’s this year made them slightly better. They can actually score at times compared to last year.
I heard the same thing about scoring too. Where did these kids come from? It would have been interesting if the Valor girls went there but some went FVU and the rest SYC. I believe most of them did not go there because he was the coach.

I don’t think any of those Valor kids were good enough anyways
We will never know because all of those kids decided to go elsewhere and not even tryout there, but keep telling yourself that. FVU and NVA are neck and neck in rankings, so not sure why you think the players who went there were not good enough for NVA. The SYC team has been killing it.

We all know the real reason why the 2011 Valor kids didn’t tryout for NVA. But, continue to believe that 2011 SYC GA team is any good

NVA also pays very little attention to Valor players, especially on the girls side. I have never once seen an NVA coach at a Valor practice or game and their joint academy this season seemed like a halfhearted effort at best.[/quote

I don’t think anyone on this thread has been talking about those kids unless they are playing 2012 and have a nepo/family connection with NVA. You sound defensive, though.
Agreed. That is an entirely different issue in the first place. That’s LS prioritizing winning over development.

Anyone on that team can score a free kick, 2013 is a very strong team.
Isn’t this 5th grader also playing with 7th graders and also getting handpicked to play with the boys? I am not sure how anyone can pretend nepotism is not at play.
yes very much so. TD is also not a very good coach, plays favorites and is a joy stick coach.

Are you talking about the same TD that coached his team to the ECNL championship game last year???

What team was that?

2010 boys? They are the top DMV 2010 boys team and most boys in the area would pick to be on the top team regardless of the coach, just the way it is. Makes for a crappy environment if you ask me.

Top 3 boys teams in DMV (2010 age group): SYC, Pipeline, Armour
