UHM let's state some true facts please. here is the 2023/4 record for the boys teams...Union gains no advantage with Brave. They dillute their brand if anything and if they are not careful there will lose players who don't want to deal with the mess that this will be. If its true there was pressure to merge due to 'record', ECNL needs to start looking at bottom ranked teams in NC--why for example do 3 clubs have 2 ECNL teams and then play each other. 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom. That's where they should have started the culling not forcing a merger that creates logistical headaches.

Brave 2007 6 wins, 6 losses, 1 draw (ranked 8)
Union 2007 5 wins, 7 losses, 1 draw (ranked 10)

Brave 2008 0 wins 13 losses (ranked 16)
Union 2008 7 wins, 2 losses 4 draws (ranked 5)

Brave 2009 1 win, 11 losses, 1 draw (ranked 16)
Union 2009 4 wins, 7 losses, 2 draws (ranked 10)

Brave 2010 5 wins, 5 losses, 3 draws (ranked 10)
Union 2010 4 wins, 7 losses, 1 draw (ranked 12)

BRAVE players and families are very happy with MV as a coach. Just ask any on his current teams. Will be hard to get buy-in from many BRAVE families if he’s not a coach in the new partnership club.


Just wait for MV to get revenge on all of the recruiting McLean did at VYS.

FYI many of the teams in GA have MLS next teams, as well. So there is very good competition there for the girls as well.

If performance is the standard for players to make the cut then the same standard should be applied to coaches and technical staff. No golden parachutes. No made-up positions. No sweetheart deals.

Fake probably by some troll on this board. McLean, Vienna, and BRYC all are .org and it looks like that domain is still available. If you are an syc admin buying up domains, you should purchase the .org too.

Let's hope the selection process is merit based and not deep pockets getting their kids buried in the team since the coaches are in their pockets. If I were Brave, I will demand an independent coach to come assess the players at the tryouts and make the selection so its fair. The teams can make their Veo games available as part of the evaluation of each player. Unfortunately, this would not happen and there will still be weak links on the consolidated team (undersize, not fast and physical, technical skills lacking and always getting pushed off the ball).

The stronger players always have do more to compensate for this when they are in the game, like they are playing one or two players down. This creates a situation where the these stronger players are risking getting injured -- ACL, MCL tears. These coaches really need to clean this up.

Under Coach Kevin (Bethesda), this will never happen. The weak ones rarely plays and eventually are replaced.

You are correct sir, a GROUP of independent coaches should come out to HELP give feedback on this one. While we are at it why don’t we have Special Counsel Robert Mueller make an appearance at Lewisville just in case…

Union parents are FREAKING OUT right now. Not a single Brave player has stepped on the field yet and the politics have already begun.

The only families that want Brave kids at Union are the families with the top 2 or 3 players on the team. The rest are just too afraid that external talent may come in and take a few spots away. There are multiple local ECNL teams that Brave players can play on and they’d be welcomed.

I asked. This is false. Confirmed and double confirmed. He is great for no one, acceptable for some, and bad for many. What is MVs recruiting track record?

Between BRYC, McLean and VYS- there are 3 regional teams. The clubs are not going to consolidate those teams because someone will lose money. Soccer is all about money

I spoke with a Mclean RL coach. He mentioned Mclean and GF will be working together. Made no mention of the Brave.
