It's amazing how quickly VDA deletes posts. Can't stand the truth. In any case, word of mouth is far more powerful in the business world and that can’t be deleted.
Any coach, any sport, any league in the world is under same scrutiny. Either you win every game, or "something is wrong with you". You can never prove he is the reason a team lost and he can't prove he's the reason they won. His "great team" is winning... therefore, he's doing *literally* his job exactly as he should. He didn't take a super-team and tank them to mid-level, they are dominating. So, as for other teams, what do you expect? Every age group to be #1? I'm sorry... did I miss the ECNL webpage where one club has a #1 team in every age..? Darn. So, it would seem that you're DD is either playing all the time, exactly where she should, or you're gonna cry. There is zero harm to anyone. Girls are going to college. The best team in the area continues to show it. The teams only gained girls and those that left did so at their free will. Children, not pros. The coaches are doing exactly as they should. Sorry you had a bad experience, but watch out for VDA to continue to rise rise rise
You're a complete moron. You are not a good coach just because one team in a club is performing well. And that's the crux of your problem: you believe that having one good team out of a whole club qualifies you as a great coach, it doesn't. That's exactly what happened at BRYC; yes, the 03 were excellent, but all of the other teams were destroyed. Girls were made to feel bad and told they were worthless, leaving us with nothing to rebuild on. Grow up and become a better coach, recognizing the genuine talent you have in the whole team, and stop pushing the girls away and start mentoring them how to play as a team.
Okay, Enough! MW wasn’t to blame for this weekends ass beating. We where missing our goalie which made a huge difference, We only had 2 subs for 2 away games. Our coach did the best he could with what we had and so did the girls. Both teams against us that we played had a total of probably 15 shots on goal the entire weekend, 9 of those goals went in, unfortunately. 5 set piece goals with 2 own goals during those set pieces. The goalies and players played there hearts out but it’s a huge issue when your goalie is out and you only have 2 subs. Stop bashing and trying to make him feel bad for things out of his control. We had our chances we had 25-35 shots on goal for the weekend compared to there 15. It just wasn’t there weekend. It happens, God you people need to get a life.
Okay, Enough! ? Who the He🏒🏒 do you think you are? We are all adults here. This is the problem with youth soccer. Parents finally have a forum where they feel like they can speak their truth and not be bullied to stay quiet. VDA has had a problem for years silencing the parents when they speak. If a parent comes forward they are either silenced with their kid getting playing time or silenced by being forced out of the club.
DCURBAN mom ? More like VDA urban coach. A whole Topic deleted last night because a VDA coach had their feelings hurt. Wonder how many players have had their feelings hurt because a coach yelled and humiliated them in front of their mates? The player seems to have bigger pants than these coaches, because they show up the next day to prove to the coach they were wrong.
This still happens!!!! I don’t know if it’s AS, MW or QP monitoring this board but they do like a hawk!

06 - VDA
07 - FCV
08 - NVA/FCV
09 - NVA
10 - Union
11 - Arlington
Choose by age group, not by club!
What is this based off of?
06- FCV (National Champ)

What’s your criteria?
Anonymous wrote:neither. I would recommend Loudoun

To avoid. Brave is a no brainer, to avoid.
Clubs overall results go up and down every two or three years.
Virgnia Union was top dawg but 07s, 08s, and 09s are all pedestrian and continue to trend downward with the exception of the 10s.
Look at NVA, three years ago people would say they don't do well at the important ages but look at them now, good 07, 08 and 09s.
Look how much VDA has improved but now seem to be going through some issues and are trending down.
FCV trending down with no idea of future. I still don't understand what is happening there.
Two or three years ago Arlington was one of the top rising clubs. Now, the 08s have pretty much gone first to worst and 09s aren't very far behind and the only hope currently is the 11s.
Bethesda is trending up with almost every year after 09s having very good teams. Three years ago, the club was struggling.
And finally Brave, who has a good 08 team and some promising younger teams. Two years ago many questioned if they would even be able to keep ECNL.
Smart parents will listen to their kids. Smart kids will tell their parents which coach they like the most when checking out practices and tryouts. I believe that is the most important part to any kids success.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Coaches might, but our VDA girls have never sat as a team and watched game film of that week's opponents, ever. I think that would be ridiculous af when they need to be on the field working.
DD’s team doesn’t watch opponent game film. They watch their own game film. Pretty standard.
Should be watching weekly and having situational studies like FCV does. FCV is better on all levels.
Situational studies, to play in non competitive matches at the weekend where almost no situation where you are tested happens.
