People say that it's okay, bc funerals are not exactly something you plan for. Sometimes you find out you have a funeral in a couple of days and there's no time to get a black suit. In that case, blue is fine.

This is not that case. He is the sitting VP of the United States. And independently wealthy. I am almost certain he has a black or charcoal suit in his closet.


And are you equally certain that both Biden and Obama had a black or charcoal suit in their closets? Were you outraged about their "lapses," pictured above? You sound horribly out of date. A navy blue suit is absolutely appropriate for a memorial service or funeral.

I mean, look at this administration and Trump 1. We're living in the upside down when it comes to any kind of presidential precedent or protocol. The esthetics of these people has always been whack, I don't think a leather skirt and the eff me heels even register as weird with this crowd.

Well, Trump only wears 2 outfits--black pants and golf shirt, khaki pants and golf shirt, blue suit, black suit. So none needed for the leader, which trickles down. They probably don't have anyone in that position at all.

It's clear that they don't know etiquette. There are staff members who specialize in protocol to advise leadership and their personal staff. I'm guessing that as is the case with this administration, the people in those positions don't have much experience and aren't doing the job well OR the staff is ignoring their advise because they don't care.
