2. Albion says mlsn2 SY no mention of mlsn1
3. SoCal reds msln1 and 2 SY

What a s***show.

Our MLSN/GA club (big club with 120+ teams)has just annouced the tryout dates for 2026. All age group from U6 to U19 will be 8/1.

The end is imminent. I expect somekind of announcement soon.

Before you call me a liar , the club is Socal Reds FC, I trust that you can find a way verify it.

I don’t see the tryout age groups listed. Do you have to register to see them?

This doesn't clarify if Homegrown or Academy will be SY. Its just cattle call tryouts which are probabaly aimed at ECNL, SOCAL, etc players.

I dont know. MLS could do anything. Getting players for Homegeown and Academy teams isnt the challenge. Getting players for all the other teams is a challenge because they're in competition with ECNL clubs.

This is exactly the issue.

Everyone’s opinions are based on what month their kid is born in. There will be some difficulty for mlsn staying BY with everyone moving to SY but that also doesn’t mean they will change. They could end up changing 5 years down the line because it’s a disaster or never changing at all because it works out.

The debate on what’s best is pointless because no one is going to see the other side because it negatively impacts their kid.

The only thing left is mlsn announcing a decision.

MLSN with the uno reverse after initially staying BY. Would have been a lot easier if all this was just announced last Dec with everyone else

Does Socal Reds have Homegrown or Academy teams?

Or are they MLS2?

Invention.

Agree this is all completely untrue. Mlsn would never and I mean never compromise the integrity of their league, which clearly switching to SY would do. Our parents and players will protest in the streets if this happens. You have no idea how important it is for Mlsn to remain BY. Other leagues just cannot comprehend and unless you play alongside the greatest youth players in the game you never will.

Trolling again. Must be an ECNL parent trying to sound like what they think of MLSNext parents. Making drama 🙄

All I see is ECNL parents (probably girl parents) commenting on what they think MLS should do.

MLS parents pretty much ignore ECNL.

It's like the yapping chihuahua that wont shut up that everyone knows can't back it up.

All I see is q1/2 parents denying actual concerns regarding mlsn staying BY and insulting anyone who brings them up as ecnl girl parents.

Its because MLS parents play at the highest level and they recognize that grouping by grade in school provides no value to them. Grouping by an international standard does provide value when these are your piers.

You dont understand this because your kids experience is playing in a rec league.

your kid is definitely born in January

Sept July and April.

But keep trying.

So you are just an a**hole - got it (and I bet you're lying about that as well)

Who would have guessed.

The person that only thinks about themselves believes everyone else thinks like they do.

This whole thread is useless now with certain people trying to control the entire narrative. Jeff should probably kill it way before it hits the server stressing limit.
