I’m not the biggest fan of the kardashians but none of them told people to kill themselves in DMs and threatened their jobs. I don’t think they’re that mean and/or manager kris is too smart to allow that crap

I have never liked her, everything she’s posted, written or documented has always been self-serving and attention seeking. There was a time when people would speak out against her and he would get bashed for their opinion but I think people are now seeing what utter garbage she is.

The only reason she is apologizing is because she was found out by her corporate money flow.

Mel Gibson came back from some pretty horrible shit do I wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up just fine.

I think an actor, who many view as talented, is different from an "influencer"-type celebrity where it's all based on likeability/relatability.

People are far less tolerant these days. Mel was lucky his mishaps happened in another era.

His career has never really recovered.

+1 Haven't seen him in anything in years and he was A++ranked before his downfall.

Mel Gibson is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. He doesn’t need to work.

Wow. I was neutral on her before all of this, but this is just the nail on the coffin.

This is bad - he still has her DMs to back up his account. Given all she’s done, I hope she remains cancelled. Her influence is not needed.

Good grief. This is not simply mean girl behavior. This psycho has now gotten caught telling two separate people to kill themselves or die—well past the age where she should have known better. What kind of person goes around saying that to multiple people? There is something seriously wrong with her.

+1. I can be a b*tch on DCUM or whatever, but what she did is on a whole other level. It’s never even occurred to me to encourage people to kill themselves. Can you imagine if the person you bullied actually did then proceed to kill themselves?

…plus can you imagine repeatedly doing this? Telling multiple people to die?

Honestly, I think if Jeff allowed it, every single (awful) person who says "seek therapy" would tell people to die instead. There's lots of coded ways to tell people that's what you mean

What's surprising to me is that she did it using her real accounts and her real name, I guess. It's easy to be the worst mfer in the world anonymously.

20 years ago I was a moron who used my real name on dating sites and internet chat boards or whatever. But 10 years ago I think most people were smart enough to at least hide behind a pseudonym before doing things like this. I think the only conclusion is either she didn't realize how bad it was - or she thought she was powerful enough for there not to be any repercussions.

That's quite a reach that seek therapy = kill yourself. Kill yourself means exactly that. Nobody is twisting her words. If all the said was "seek therapy" we wouldn't be talking about her right now.

Actually lots of people. I’m guessing most posters here have no idea the vile and racists things people say on Call of Duty and Fortnite. These are teenagers, kids, adults, etc. Not giving Chrissy a pass but people are mean.

Gaming is a large but niche industry. I would caution against assuming that the ethics and mores demonstrated there are consistent with those of the real world.

There’s also a difference between telling your opponent to die in a trash talk situation versus telling people to die in the situation Chrissy was in

What’s the difference? Bc DCUM has said telling someone to die is never ok. Being racist is never ok. If we are giving passes to certain people just be clear. Chrissy wasn’t alone in talking about Courtney. Twitter was a mess years ago. People on Call of Duty and Fortnite are vile. Mel Gibson is vile.

Nobody is getting a pass. It's up the the victim to name their abuser otherwise nobody knows it happened. People in the public eye should know to be extra careful with their online presence because they have much more at stake than Joe Blow gaming from his mom's basement. Chrissy thought she was untouchable, until she learned she wasn't and that the internet never forgets.

Chrissy also used her ifame as a weapon, eg telling project runway guy he would never work again, stuff like that.

Not just telling him, she actively campaigned to have him lose work and be prevented from working.

She tweeted about Lohan needing to slit her wrists after Lohan admitted to being a cutter. But Lohan hasn’t revealed any private dms, though that day is coming I’m sure

I would caution in assuming ethics and morals are somehow different there then in the real world. The real world has consistently shown itself to be unethical and immoral. People say lots of things behind closed doors or when they think no one is listening. Alcohol also has a way of allowing people to show their true colors.
