I agree. Not sure why they drag it out unless it takes this long to get the emails set up and confirming with the schools the kids are in good standing?

I still don’t understand the delay. If they knew a week ago with enough confidence they could tell the schools, why not just tell the kids.

Which county are you all at?

DP. Per the handbook, the counselors can find out a week prior. It's up to each district to decide if they'll share or not. Or I guess your kid can ask but if the counselor isn't openly sharing, guess it would be awkward to ask? Now the wait for what time kids will receive their emails. My DC is FFX CTY

When I called our county's contact, I was told we'd hear back by April 15 from the State for the SRGS decision. Is that still the case? Has anyone whose kids applied to STEM heard back?

May I ask what kind of national level awards for humanities-focus? There are more national level awards for STEM, but less for humanities.

New poster here, but for humanities focus: writing awards, debate (LD is philosophy based) or NLE/NJCL (for our classics kids.)

There was an extended deadline?
We didn’t hear anything after submitting to the school and being notified kid was moving on to state.
It would be awful to hear later than mid-April.

Ok. I found it. So the deadline for districts to state was extended two weeks. Ugh. I really hope that doesn’t mean May 1. That’s too late for my kid to accept other opportunities. April 15 was late!
