You should be more specific about which teams you're talking about before insulting every player who plays up for Spirit. On my DD's team, all of the players playing up will be starters or significant contributors.

However, with some rosters over-filled, I doubt WS-VA has a choice. When you have 25 on a roster, you have to try anything to make sure players are getting their game time and requisite number of starts. So they have to try to move a couple of players up if at all possible.

They average 20 players a team. No team has 25 rostered. The play-ups happen in every age group and some could return to their nominal age group with no problem.
Let's not start this again.

One midfielder hardly touched the ball the whole weekend.
Not sure that's actually development. Routine play ups as a matter of policy is odd. I don't see any other DA doing that. Playing up usually is only done when that player is so strong in their own age group, they aren't challenged. It also shouldn't makes no sense when the play ups can't keep up.

Sorry, just stirring the pot to keep things interesting.
WS-VA does seem to be struggling again though. I had hoped they'd do better in year two. What's odd is that WS-MD seems to have a really strong program. I wonder why there's such a difference, with the same parent organization. Is there just less competition for players in the WS-MD market?
