I really appreciate this article on the difference between dependence and addiction because it really speaks to our culture's misguided response to the opioid epidemic, which is steadily getting worse.

The reporting on Prince’s death reveals how much we don’t understand about chronic pain management.

I was hoping it is permanent.

This is now the third extension, ratings must be good maybe there's a chance. I definitely wouldn't mind.

It's so fantastic. Maybe an outlet for everything in the vault.

Yes!

I mean no disrespect to other artists, but some of the single-musician stations feature performers with a lot less range than Prince.

Agree, particularly since they just came out with the Kenny Chesney station that is probably identical.

Also, Pearl Jam? Really?

This makes me happy for him, that he had a beautiful property in Turks and Caicos, according to TMZ. I'm guessing after reading another article PP posted that if he did a show at New Year's in the Bahamas, he could have spent the holidays there.

I bet they already have the autopsy results but are making sure they've dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's. They are probably still gathering other information about his health from various sources to come up with a complete picture.

What?

The bank Bremer Trust was authorized to have his blood paternity tested if necessary because people are coming out of the woodwork claiming Prince was their father or somehow related. It's ridiculous since they only want the money obviously and they didn't care about making themselves known when he was alive. It's unlikely he had any other offspring since his own child did not survive. Even if someone is his child, if he didn't know it, why would he want someone he never met to have his money? Hopefully they can squash any claims people are making. You can see why he'd want privacy with people like that out there. I think it was hard for him to admit any problems and get help because he didn't want to be exposed.
Up to 700 people have come forward claiming to be an heir. One man, claiming to be his child, has begun legal proceedings to prove his paternity.

This is really heartbreaking, but I'm glad I read it. In my opinion it takes nothing away from the musical genius that he was.

Does anyone know when the autopsy results will be completed and an official cause of death determined? I don't understand why this takes so long.

This is why wills are important. It makes no sense that he never wrote one.
