That would have killed the momentum toward Hardy growing its in-boundary population. It was a crazy idea to begin with and weird that DCPS ever entertained it.
Not crazy. Dcps wants hardy to be majority oob. There is simply no other explanation for their inept management of hardy over the past decade. I guarantee you that the real reason they want to kick out fillmore is to make room for more oob kids at hardy.
Well, Kaya Henderson is gone now, so maybe the urge to offend the high-SES citizens has been weakened. One City!!

The proposal was fake entertained to let Jack Evans pretend he was fighting for some constituents... it was never for real. Like all those ones Mary Chehimi throws around that are big jokes on the face of them.

Mann is largely an IB school. Stoddert is in the middle. Hyde is so OOB, it's not significant that kids go to Hardy -- what other alternative do they have?!
According to DCPS Profile page,
Mann - 81% IB
Stoddert - 73% IB
Hyde - 42% IB
The other feeder schools are as follows:
Eaton - 50%
Key - 83%
Of course these numbers are not necessarily accurate since it is past data which may or may not be an accurate picture of the current breakdown which is not yet available to the public.

People have been waiting for the culture to change at Hardy for a long time. Maybe it's at the tipping point.
+1.
