Ha! I've always felt a little sorry for mothers of big babies. Little ones are so much cuter. I had gestational diabetes and my 7lb baby felt like a reward for being scrupulous about my diet. to each her own!

I think moms who have large babies ate well and put the baby first.
moms with small babies were more concerned with staying slim and avoiding stretch marks.

Yup, now I know you're an idiot.

Some large babies are the result of GD or obese mothers.

I grow 7 lb babies. We're not big people (5'1" and 5'7"), we were both in the 7s at birth. Trust me when I tell you I WISH I could have eaten for a large part of my pregnancy, but I spent a good portion of it vomiting. It had nothing to do with wanting to stay thin or avoid stretch marks. I still got an enormous belly because my body just took over and I gained 30 lbs past pre-pg weight both times. My stomach is destroyed by diastasis and stretch marks-it wasn't like I had any say in any of that.

What an odd thing to be smug about. Like you had much control over any of this.


Do obese women really tend to have larger babies? My OB didn't mention this. I'm newly pregnant and obese and already anxious about labor. Throw in a big baby and I'll have a panic attack thinking about it!

While I think some working moms legitimately enjoy working, I think a lot of them are still jealous that their husbands don't make enough to give them a choice.

Children do not have a faith. It's their PARENTS' faith that was taught to them, and they "adopt" it because that's all they know.


This. Basically, you're brainwashing your children. They never have a chance to choose a faith when they are ready.
I waited until my daughter was 8 before I exposed her to my faith. It's totally separate from teaching children right/wrong, kindness, and discipline. She's 17 now and thanks me for allowing her to have an open mind regarding her personal spirituality. Also, she behaves with more decency than most adults. It's not necessary to indoctrinate children.


My faith is all my own. My parents dropped me at the church door, didn't come with me.
