He's surprised he got off. GPA: 3.6/SAT: 1510, typical ECs.
Is it some elite private with grade deflation? Thanks.
Assuming he submitted the 1510?
Didn’t WashU tell people not to submit anything below 1500? So 1510 is on the low end of reported scores. It’s also low for a grade deflated elite private.

Penn hadn’t moved as of yesterday.
Northwestern has been moving for weeks. It may be done and over.
Got it. Sounds like no hope for DD for NU then.

MIT waitlist moved and now the class is closed.
I read that Harvard says the class of 2030 is full, but not all students got rejection letters while some have. What does that mean?
They do it in batches/waves. It’s closed in certain regions (apparently Midwest/California are done). Some are still under evaluation. There will be a few more waves.
Is this a weekly thing for students on the Harvard WL or are they fast turnarounds like 48 hours?

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Harvard accepted someone from our high school. Sounds like Harvard's list moved a lot. Interesting. Where did the kids go who didn't accept? I know of one who chose MIT over Harvard. Is that how it usually goes?
It seems that quite a few chose Stanford over Harvard this year.

At our private someone chose Wharton over Harvard and Princeton over Harvard.
Also it moved this week at our non-DMV private.

My kid is still in waitlist with much higher GPA and very high SAT and good ECs. Applied for premed
