Period.
Who the hell are we to force our ownership on an existing people, who don’t want it.
Such a undemocratic, bully move.
It's sad that we've had a time of relative peace, and Trump is hellbent on starting WWIII.
Less about starting WWIII. More about our reputation flushed down a toilet. I mean it has already been tarnished after a year i office by Trump. He has THREE more years left so yeah, it's game over for the US. WWIII or not, the next administration will not be able to salvage our reputation. The only good news is that since the world aka EU is tied so integrally to American financial transactions, systems, etc., it's not going to be overnight that all our ties will be cut overnight or even in a year but just wait, the world has already started laying the foundations to leave the US as a partner and ally. Greenland is the nail on the coffin basically.
Whatever happens in the short term, the long term will be catastrophic for Americans. Countries are like people - you cannot go at this life alone - you need some friends. If nobody trusts you, everyone hates you, you're alone and left out. That's our future - the US will be on our own in a way that we've never been nor many developed countries have ever been. It's the goal of Project 2025 and Trump and certain idiots in this country - it's a completely horrific goal.
Unless we have a miraculous turnaround in November with numbers that allow us to remove him from office, no one will ever trust Americans again. Rightfully so.

Exactly how are they going to stop him.
Tillis is going to travel to Denmark and assure the Danes that he is concerned. Oh. Lisa Murkowski is too.
That's it. Literally.
Good for Tillis. Helping to save NATO is a pretty impressive legacy for any Senator (though he and Murkowski deserve blame for confirming Hegseth and Trump's cabinet of red flag filled crazies in the first place.)

But then we'll have Vance which is just as worse if not more? LOL The other thing is that I'm not seeing any Dem that's going to take a leadership role whom I trust is going to turn this ship around effectively. Do things differently than Trump for sure but long term, no, there's no one really capable of leadership and wisdom even among Dems. I don't think people realize it's not about removing Trump as it is about removing him in lieu of a statesman who offers respectability. Otherwise, we're in the same place just with a different person.

Sen. Gallego: No, because this has nothing to do with actual security concerns. This is Trump being an idiot.
