Unless we have a miraculous turnaround in November with numbers that allow us to remove him from office, no one will ever trust Americans again. Rightfully so.

Nope, even then I’m afraid we’re done. We used that card up when we elected Biden and the world warily gave us a second chance. After we elected Trump by popular vote to a second term where he promptly cut off aid in ways that left countries in the lurch, demonstrated corruption on a scale never before seen (including, but not limited to, soliciting foreign bribes), started playing games with tariffs, tried to manipulate domestic fiscal policy for political purposes, trampled on human rights, ignored international law, engaged in piracy, and threatened our allies, we’ve demonstrated that the second chance was a mistake. We won’t get a third.

If we’re lucky and Trump doesn’t actually attack allies or cause further damage in the remaining 3/4 of his term, we may be able to maintain a place at the table as a fellow nation (having forfeited our leadership of the free world). More likely, in three years we’ll be under sanctions and possibly in armed conflict. Moreover, the world may have adopted a different currency for international business, which means we won’t be able to pretend to handle our debt anymore and are probably going to be in the midst of an economic collapse that will make the Great Depression look like a tea party. Whether the international community will trust us again isn’t the question, the question at this point is whether we will actually have a free and fair election where we can give ourselves a third chance to reclaim the ruins of our country.

There is NO way we're removing him from office. Unless he dies But then we'll have Vance which is just as worse if not more? LOL The other thing is that I'm not seeing any Dem that's going to take a leadership role whom I trust is going to turn this ship around effectively. Do things differently than Trump for sure but long term, no, there's no one really capable of leadership and wisdom even among Dems. I don't think people realize it's not about removing Trump as it is about removing him in lieu of a statesman who offers respectability. Otherwise, we're in the same place just with a different person.
