I will not tolerate any abusive behavior towards my children.

My friends daughter played for him at GFR on the 09's and there was a dad on the team who recorded all of their games. He had to remove the audio before sharing with parents at GD's request because he was caught being so terrible to girls on the sideline. At least 6 girls left his 09 team this past summer because of it. Yes, some people stayed and will tolerate this type of abuse if the coach is winning but it is a FACT that he is verbally abusive to girls. And I don't mind my kid being pushed hard but being called names and berated in front of her teammates is abuse and crosses a line!

Correct. More holes in this post, the girls that left some not all, left to play ECNL or GA and get out of the RL. Not because he “abused” them. Harsh criticism and a slight reality check isn’t abuse. I’ve seen it go both ways, girls mouthing off to a coach and girls mouthing off to even parents with attitude. Perspective. Where is the revoked license then? Safesport was created to prevent this and track this and not one thing is reported.

Btw- you can't remove audio from VEO... also "my friends daughter" sooo this is so far removed. Game of telephone, truths because totally twisted. Absolutely sad state this world is.


It wasn't VEO, it was a hand held video camera. The dad is notorious for recording the matches and posting them on youtube. If you want to speculate that this isn't accurate, that's fine but I assure you it happened. I saw many of the clips and he has covered them up with sound bites from EPL games!


Again, can’t quite add up. Parents aren’t allowed on the side line with players and coaches?? So this guy video-ed across the field and got clear audio?? Haha.

Disagree. One of the best purposes of this board is to share information. If there's a coach getting thrown out of games for hurling obscenities or running pay to play private training schemes or abusing girls, I 100% want to to know and i want to hear all about it. Just in case we show up for tryouts somewhere and it turns out this guy is on the coaching slate. MORE information for consumers is always better. If someone hates a coach, please post here about it so we can all be educated consumers next tryout season.


Sorry, but you are boasting your own opinion. You and others are hiding behind an anonymous name with nothing to lose. Probably complaining behind a curtain because your DD isn't a starter or not getting the attention you her to get.

How do you consider this ALL the information when it's coming from a single anonymous source who dislikes him because their DC didn't get playing time? The person is agreeing to their own posts to make it look like multiple people. GD would not be coaching if anything he said were true. That referee would have needed to include the reason for the red card in his report and it would have been sent to the league, GD would have been gone after that.

This board only has half truths.

I believe GD yelled at that ref but not that word.

I believe GD yells at players but not in a berating or demeaning way.

If you or Larla cant handle a screaming coach, move on.


Exactly!!! Let families figure it out themselves. No family is built the same way. And GOOD parents will remove their children if they feel a coach is bad for them. Extremely bad coaches will be reported and lose their license.


Forewarned is forearmed. Like pp, if someone with this unsavory reputation was hired by my club mid-season, I would want to know ALL the details about why he was fired from GFR or other clubs so I could attend every practice and record every game and very very closely supervise every thing he does.

personally I would be very suspicious of ANY coach who insists on sound being removed from the VEO for even one game or one portion of a game, let alone every game.

We have a team veo and can hear everything our coach tells the players.
