Yes and his mom is Hindu. I am sure he had a super interesting upbringing with his parents' careers and living in Uganda before moving here. A lot of DCUM can't see past their racism and Islamaphobia but credit to New Yorkers for seeing this multicultural immigrant as one of their own.
