It’s all insults and MAGA hats until someone gets hurt. The invisible hand of the market will not bow to GOP lies.
Yep. They thought tariffs would be good for America and that China would be paying them. That is not at all how it works. The only way it would benefit American business is if American business has the ability to source domestic materials at a competitive rate, to retool for domestic production at a competitive rate, and so on, and that takes years to do - and in other instances we still can't source or produce the materials as cheaply as foreign countries can, and inevitably costs go up, and companies need to be able to recover those costs to stay in business, which drives cost increases and inflation.
We told them this. We explained it. We warned them. They instead all chose to double down in their happy little bubble of Trump lies and delusions.
Let this be a learning moment for them.

I wonder what would happened to the 54 million people on Obama care when it is finally overturned...
Obamacare isn’t going anywhere. Too many red states have approved it and will not give it up. It’s all talk.
You can tell yourself that but did you not pay attention to what Trump, Vance and Johnson said? They’re going to fix it. They want to put people in risk pools so that young healthy people don’t “have to subsidize” the elderly and those with preexisting conditions.
Thus making it unaffordable for the elderly and those with preexisting conditions.
Oh, and currently ACA does base your rates on your age. Much cheaper for a couple who is 40 vs a couple at 55. So the only people you would be hurting are those with preexisting conditions---they cannot help that and should not be punished.
Also, trump had 4 years to "fix Obamacare". Did we see a plan? Did we see a "concept of a plan"

Not sure, but I’m looking forward to all the whining from those who voted for him. That’s going to be fun.
They will never admit they were wrong. Ever.

Federal funding comes through several overlapping programs targeting state and local governments. The proportion of state revenues attributable to federal aid is determined by combining the funding received by both state and local institutions.
The five states that received the most federal aid were:
California ($162.9 billion)
New York ($110.2 billion)
Texas ($105.8 billion)
Florida ($58.8 billion)
Pennsylvania ($57.1 billion)
**How much money do states receive per resident?
Another way to evaluate reliance on federal funding is on a per-person basis, where federal funding is represented as the average amount a state receives per resident to better illustrate the extent of federal support relative to population.
Using this metric, Alaska had the highest rate of federal funding in 2021 at roughly $8,628 per person, a whole 26.5% more than the second-highest state, Rhode Island, which received $6,821. They’re followed by New Mexico ($6,748), Wyoming ($6,718), and Delaware ($6,011).

But I so wish for it all to work out just as we know it will. Let them lose their healthcare and social security and welfare. Let them all get deported, every single one of them. Let our stocks go up while they wallow in their paycheck to paycheck. Let their families go hungry and sick. Let Musk cut the government in half, all of it. Let their women bleed out in hospitals.
We will be fine but I cannot wait, cannot I tell you, for them to reap what they sow.
None of us can imagine the f*ckery and damage he will do this time.
That is true. But the market likes and he chose a solid Chief of Staff. It's not a disaster yet.

Who exactly is the "them" that you're talking about? Who are these people that wallow in their paycheck to paycheck while you get to see your stocks go up?
The OP refers to welfare as well, which is a pretty strong racist dog whistle. Do I think one can draw good conclusions about who “they” are and it’s not pretty.

+1
You voted for tariffs but didn’t know how tariffs work? There goes your Christmas bonus. And maybe some of your jobs. Can’t feel bad anymore. All of those people voted for only themselves. So I will look out for myself and take advantage of the stock market.
