Yes the HC of RL knows it is not worth for his team to get up at 8am to get a beat down on a Monday. Maybe he had to work on Monday
They're also a part of the 'Union', maybe figured if wasn't worth it. Why play the A team vs the B team.
McLean ECNL RL is not part of Union. The club might want you to think that. You think they will move the ECNL RL player up to Union roster? I don't think that Union pick up any players from RL in the past few years.

That's because McLean has not been part of Onion until now. McLean will now be the farm team for Onion especially on the girls side.

They have a choice not to play. It looks like a waste of a weekend
Sitting out of a tournament and pouting about bracket placement would be a waste of a weekend. Instead, girls got to improve chemistry, try different formations/positions, build confidence, pick up some highlight clips and just enjoy playing the beautiful game.
The tournament placed them based on their dismal performance from last year and.Knowing this group of parents, there was very likley an effort to move up to the second bracket at least. That effort obviously failed. So they just played because what else were they supposed to do. None of the parents are here heralding their great victory. At least next year they'll be in the second bracket. But any "confidence" built by playing RL teams is false confidence so it was probably a waste of a weekend except for the "highlight clips" against RL teams--or will you not mentioned that in your insta post.
Only one 2011 FVU game was against an RL team. Two were against GA.
