The way they keep having to go back decades to find comparisons does nothing but emphasize the fact that we are moving backwards.

I had a small part in actually deprogramming a cult member many years ago. It did work. Based on everything I learned from that process, maga certainly fits the definition of a cult. A necessary component in the process is the help and involvement of former member of the same cult.
