For the All Souls parent, can you break down how many got into Dalton, Collegiate, St. Bernard, Trinity and Hunter?

Ok, glad you're happy at All Souls, it seems like a lovely program also. Ultimately we're all trying to find the best fit for our kids.

If you want real detail on either school, talking to current families offline is probably more useful than a forum thread.

The difference is that All souls also ended up sending a decent number of kids to 2T - AS, Browning, CGPS etc - if you look at the list there are a lot of 2T or 3T schools on there. CCDS almost everyone got into TT. If your kid is smart/connected/lucky/etc they'll get into TT from anywhere, but the good feeders improve exmissions for the rest of the kids

This. You can list the TT co-ed that one sibling got into right alongside other schools where the bulk of your kids are headed and your list looks great. The list might look the same but the numbers are not the same. CCDS almost every kid got into a TT this year.

And how many of these kids from CCDS that supposedly ALL got in to TT schools are siblings and legacies? I know exactly where all the kids from All Souls are going. One kid is going to Browning, One kid is going to CGPS, and one kid is going to AS. Four kids are going to Spence, two to Brearley, 2 to Chapin, 3 to Riverdale, etc. This doesn't equate to the kids who got in to multiple TT (and there were a few), and had to choose. Out of the 35 kids who were eligible to apply to private school (some chose public) at All Souls only 8 of them are sibling/legacy. My questions is, how many sibling/legacies are at CCDS for TT schools?

So I am unsure where you are getting your information from.

Thank you for this, All Souls parent. There seems to be a CCDS booster here and over on the MUES fb group who is saying it’s in the TT. I’m not doubting them, necessarily, but just looking for data to back up what they’re saying since AS and CCDS are our top two choices for next year.

Is there a possibility that on the first week of March, after families have made their decisions and have enrolled, there could be a chance to apply at top-tier preschool, if you miss your chance to apply in fall 2025?

Which top-tier, second tier, or third tier preschool could potentially still have an opening for application?

It gets forgotten a bit because it's small and much more low key. 80% of kids this year got into Trinity Dalton Riverdale Brearley Spence Chapin St Bernard's Hunter (and this is not an unusual year). The few that went elsewhere it was mostly because they didn't want a TT.

False.

Though if you want to socialize with billionaires then 92Y, episcopal and brick are way better for that than CCDS. So depends what your metric is

I keep seeing the comments like CCDS sent almost every student to a TT this year. If that’s true, wouldn’t that make it comparable to or even stronger than TT of TT schools like 92NY and Episcopal?

We have friends at PCDS and the other thread matched what they told us. More than half the kids got into a TT or Hunter.
