Arrests can be considered. There is a separate legal process to have arrests expunged from the record. Plenty of people have been denied employment because of an arrest. It's a common practice. Especially for an occupation with a fiduciary responsibility.

Agree. She’s a monster but i would never equate consensual adult sex in a park with someone likely to sexually abuse children.

What would there be to "sanction" for giving someone w/no conviction a job?

Agree. PP is just engaging in typical, "I would have known there was something wrong by looking at her" nonsense. These terrible abusers get away with it precisely because they blend in and seem very ordinary.

The enticement charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years up to life in prison and it's a slam dunk conviction because the elements of the crime are based purely on the state of mind of the perpetrator and there is no victim for the defense to discredit. Hoppe's goose is cooked and she will spend at least the next ten years in prison. The other charges can be used as leverage for a plea bargain.

Hoppe's state of mind is much worse, than other enticement convictions, because she wasn't someone who was just physically attracted to minors to engage in intercourse. The judge may view Hoppe as someone who is irredeemable and hand out a longer sentence.

I believe she is in a federal facility not DC Jail. She was arrested for federal crimes by the FBI not by MPD for a crime committed in DC.


Was the crime in DC that she emailed to pictures to the agent in DC? I thought she traveled to Northern Virginia where she was caught. I was confused why she wasn't being held in a federal facility in Va.

Think about - as parents the idea is so terrible that most people would shut down at the suggestion.

There needs to be far more coverage locally so that possible victims can be identified and so they can receive help. Her rich family can start proving compensation to her victims.


I have no connection of any of these people, and am sickened and horrified by the story, but did note in some of the photos floating around of her, she appears to have some scars on her forehead that could be indicative of a previous TBI.

Nah, the PR posters can drop that idea, along with her parents as heroes. No TBI. And her family appealed her 2019 CONVICTION and got it dismissed. They suck too. (pun intended for readers of the whole thread)
