Nima was a DJ too. He and his sister were possibly into all manner of shady stuff. "Honor" hahahahaha. That explains Lee's MMA friend saying he knew them from the "scene."

They should get a warrant and look for recording equipment.
It's possible that it was more a long con with Lee due to his vast wealth. Or could be why he dragged Witness 1 around for so much of it? Or he could have had more of a sugar baby thing with her and they wanted $$$ as he was pulling away.
The "honor' defense is not going to fly with the apps piece of the puzzle.
I was struck by Lee and his older father referring to their "bachelor pad" "bachelor lifestyle" etc. Wonder if that was an inoculation attempt.
I haven’t seen the honor defense line mentioned anywhere.
At some point it was suggested in this thread that it was the case/could be used as defense, but we have no idea if they will actually use it.
It’s getting to be too much speculation
It is in literally every story, that Nima was quizzing Lee about using with K or inappropriate conduct. It was overheard by Witness 1 and repeated to cops and also in a FT call on Lee's phone. It is the likely reason that Nima's defense attorney described it as "not a crime."
None of it seems to be true, she was on dating apps meeting men not Lee, so not a fragile flower, but it was the line they took with Lee, was he besmirching her honor, etc.

Miss us with your fake insider BS. You are gonna look at the pics in Haute Living or how they pranced around making heart hands IN COURT with that woman wearing $1,000 sunglasses inside and opine about "fake status." Unless you are Joe Price and HIS motley crew, DC would be hard pressed to compete with trash like this.
This is a very well-crafted bit of snark.

Lots of links are posted. Guess you don't like the facts they lay out.
Not a story about San Francisco crime or honor or Iranian family achievement, just about $ and sex and possibly drugs and jealously. Tale as old as time. Lee seemed kind of oblivious to the risks of people who smile to your face but literally can stab you and drive away.
Speculation: this feels like a blackmailing ring, so I wonder if they had had something on Lee that was part of why he moved and setup a new life?
Anonymous wrote:I said before that Lee did not look down on Nami, but now that I see he was listed as “Nami Via Khazar” — he couldn’t even be bothered to give him a last name, yeah I’m sure he considered him a nobody and probably a “blocker”
I thought it was listed as “Nami Momeni” and in the notes mentioned his sister. Literally too lazy to give him a proper contact name of his own? NOBODY.

What’s ironic is if people weren’t yelling how dangerous SF is, how the homeless will get you, Lee might have been able to get help sooner from frightened passerbys. I wonder if they even called the police or just assumed he was a crazy homeless roaming around.
Since he was stabbed in the heart maybe it wouldn’t have mattered, but you have to wonder.
