Our numbers are the same as Howard county which hasn't had a mask mandate since spring. They're pulling numbers out of thin air and have moved the goalposts three times at this point. MoCo pols love to control, control, control.
What’s stupid comment.
We elect officials TO control the public. What the hell else the point of having a government, dummy? We vote for people who will be in authority, to protect us from dumbasses who go around blathering about “muh freedumbs”. Control? Control is the REASON we put people in charge.
Some of us are capable of assessing risks and making our own decisions (which included getting vaccinated with a booster). Sorry you need a daddy to tell you what to do.

Correct. We're still right on the edge of the mask cutoff, so who knows what the future will bring. But we're free from the mask mandate for at least a week.

To that one pp, however, we want to be CONTROLLED?? Well, I hope you are not all liberal posting on dcum and hating on China!

That’s not the way a seven-day trailing average works. It updates every day. Unfortunately, we have five consecutive days of substantial transmission (actually, six but Andrew Friedson rigged the counting). Cases will need to be lower the next two days than they were Thursday and Friday of the previous week. The positivity rate has been roughly steady, so absent a drop in testing, cases probably will be about the same they were last Thursday and Friday.
