You are attributing the right thing to do with people who put themselves in this position by not doing the right thing. Why are you assuming his parents would call her parents and then her parents just said "meh not gonna file a report for 12 days"? Seems like they really are going to lengths to get her picture out there, get the story covered and trying to guilt his family into talking, but they dont care enough about her because they couldnt get their adult daughter to come home after the police incident? Oh and they intentionally delayed filing a report. Maybe they are in on it and have been all along.

Her parents would not have filed her as missing because for all they know she had no service and was still safe with her Fiancé. An adult not calling home for awhile isnt that hard to believe, especially if they are camping in remote areas. It seems more reasonable Brian arrived home and lawyered up. Then lawyer probably let Gabbys parents know he left her there and came home. then her parents filed the missing report.

Gabby’s parents know she was in police custody after assaulting her bf on Aug 12th because the cops made her call her parents

Brian returns home to his family on Sept 1st - he had no money and was the acknowledged sole driver of the van ( Gabby told the cops she didn’t feel comfortable driving it )

Gabby’s parents stop hearing from her on Aug 29th but her mom doesn’t go to the police for 13 more days - 12 days after Brian is already home and by then Brian’s parents have retained a good lawyer ( something that takes atleast a week if not longer

So, given all that, why do assume that prior to getting a lawyer Brian’s parents didn’t communicate with the other family

It’s clear Gabby’s parents want to pin this all on Brian , but why after that police intervention 30 days prior - didn’t they do something

You’re just twisting yourself in knots trying to blame this on anyone but him. It’s the victim’s fault, she’s the abuser (yet she’s the one who’s missing and likely dead). It’s the parents’ fault, they didn’t confront Brian’s parents soon enough (WTAF). Her parents want to pin this on the guy who saw her last and showed up without her but with her car, and is refusing to tell anyone what happened (obviously).

They were together after the hotel incident, hence how he got the van. Say they argued she walked off and he was "going to teach her a lesson" and drive away. Jerk move since wasn't that part of the reason she was so "crazy" in the police video, because she was afraid he was going to drive off and leave her? So then why would he not call the police and say his finance is missing/disappeared when he came back to look for her? He has cell phone records to show his location leaving and coming back for her. Might be some parking lot cameras or maybe someone saw her/him together or separate. Why would he think he would get in trouble or be a person of interest in her disappearance? Its on every crime tv show and movie that if a missing person is not found within 48 hours the likelihood of finding them alive is minimal so it should be common knowledge. So instead of calling for help to find his missing fiancé, he bails on her and drives almost 3000 miles home and then refuses to speak to police? This does not make any sense. If he left her why is he being so secretive. Even most of the crimes where the man did it, they alteast at some point contact the police to report them missing or answer questions.

Actually, it reminds me of this Jeff Bridges / Kroger Sutherland movie ( see link ) and I do think it’s possible that if you have a double murderer stalking Van camper Lesbian couple , he might have been also stalking other camping couples - and Gabby drew attention to herself and maybe separated from her bf and that’s when he spotted her .

Maybe the killer spotted her on the night she was alone when Brian was moved to the hotel? Maybe someone connected with her then and they met up later ? Or maybe they just had another fight and she stormed off and called the guy she met that night to come “help her “?
