If it was successful in its goal of generating professional players it wouldn’t be, but it’s not, so it is.

First thread says what I have been saying for a while. MLSN wanted to go BY and was planning to go BY. Then realized it would put them at a huge disadvantage vs ECNL and are now reconsidering.

Agree this is all completely untrue. Mlsn would never and I mean never compromise the integrity of their league, which clearly switching to SY would do. Our parents and players will protest in the streets if this happens. You have no idea how important it is for Mlsn to remain BY. Other leagues just cannot comprehend and unless you play alongside the greatest youth players in the game you never will.

It's today's version of high school sports like AAU basketball. Almost all will be accountants, bankers, managers and fork lift drivers by 22. The vast majority of mlsn homegrown teams are p2p. HG p2p and AD teams are where the league is making their money which is why they care what these clubs want.
