Democrats have made this mistake before. Trump sucks, ergo we can nominate weak men like Biden because whatever. Or another unpopular California progressive like Harris. Democrats paid the price for their arrogance, which is why we have Trump. They should not make that mistake again. A strong candidate in 2028 will win everything for Democrats. If you'd like to win the next election, maybe try listening to the people whose votes you'd like to win. If they tell you something is a deal breaker, maybe don't insult and dismiss them and still expect them to vote with you, and then proceed to blame everything bad on them, refusing to take even a single look in the GD mirror.

And now a year and 5 weeks into a GOP pres who can't run in 2028. In terms of presidential elections basically it's 4 to 3 and one of those elections required Sandra O'Connor wanting to retire.

Newsom's parents divorced and his mother raised Gavin and his sister as a single mother working as a waitress and secretary. How was she a millionaire. Newsom's father had the money as an appellate judge. Newsom has spoken about how he lived in two different worlds going back and forth between his parents home. He attended university on partial scholarship.
