This happens because clubs want to have committments and clubs want committments because its something they can advertise on instragram which brings on more younger players.

That is a pretty cynical view. While I am sure the clubs want commitments because it looks good for the coach and club, there are also other reasons. For instance, couldn’t it also be true they care for each kid and want the best for them, they got to coaching to help kids and help each kid seek their dreams?

That's may of how it started for a lot of coaches but that is not how it is today. The business side of things has taken over for club soccer, now it's all about commitments and youth national team social media posts because parents will see those and want that for their kid so they'll join the club that they think can best do that for me. It's why we're failing in soccer at the national level because it's not about development or coaching our youth, it's about increasing college commitments to get more kids to join the club, so a club can have 4 teams in the same age group or have 20-25 kids per team

There are only 347 D1 Women's programs.
All of them were there plus 200 more?

Many colleges have multiple scouts attending. Which likely explains the numbers.

The AI enhanced number of ECNL players comment is correct. Also the image is AI created.

However, 2025 GA playoff coach and recruiter numbers werent included not 2024. FYI 2025 GA had more recruiters and coaches at their event than they'd ever had before.

then your reading comprehension of their chart is suspect. it is clear that the current 2024/25 GA playoffs had 159 D1 college programs attended. did you go and count them from GA's website? their chart says ECNL has 237 D1 college programs currently attending the ECNL playoffs. did you go and count them from ECNL's website?

no one is taking about the total number of college coaches or programs in their post. their post is clearly referencing "D1" college programs guiding the reader as to what showcase the D1 college programs are attending. pretty simple to understand

More girls ECNL players stop playing in their first year of college than any other league.

More people in China die every year than any other country. More people in NYC die every year than any other U.S. city. This is a meaningless statistic. The only thing it proves is that more players in college come from ECNL.

On the other hand some people might view D1 programs as meaningful different from D2 and JC.
