The number of people who would have known about it. Seems far-fetched to find that many people who would agree to be in the vicinity of a 19 year old firing into a crowd, be it rally-goers, SS, or staff. Especially since a guy died, I feel like someone would have come forward by now.

“Staged” meaning “pre-arranged.” Michael Flynn, Roger Stone and the rest of the people who surround Donald Trump, as well as Trump himself are people for whom murdering one or a few of their own supporters would not be that big of a deal. Trump’s ear didn’t even get nicked until the USSS scrum surrounded him; the bullets weren’t anywhere near him.

I guess others have a higher opinion of the party that stole PPE and otherwise attempted to use covid to murder Democrats, so I don’t really think this is beyond them. The potently poll juice would be worth the squeeze, as it were.

Doug Mills, a veteran photographer for The New York Times, was only a few feet away from former President Donald J. Trump at the rally in Butler, Pa., when the shooting started. Mr. Mills kept his finger on the shutter button, photographing as the scene unfolded. It was only afterward, while reviewing his photos, that he realized he had captured the apparent path of a bullet used in the assassination attempt against the former president. He explains what he saw.
