Pipeline is the best club in MD and only McLean and FCV are stronger today. Going forward, Pipeline will take players from, MUFC and Bethesda. Yes, there are Bethesda players who travel from Baltimore.

Seriously, because Pipeline says something, we are now to believe it. Scholarships are for kids/families in need. Not for buying players or is this treated like colleges. Per their fees, money is coming from other Pipeline families not offered to play for free.

Question for Mr. Pipeline...Why does a club in a All-Inclusive pay structure charge $2600+ or so when another club can play in the same league division, same state cup, do more tournaments charge $400+ less dollars per player?

Pipeline should add to their tuition statement...the extra money we are charging each family is to buy coaches and players from other clubs. This is why we are known for developing players. Or, give a detailed budget for each team where their money is being spent.

My son plays for pipeline. I have very mixed feelings on the club. Their tax records are public and you can see some high salaries and where the money goes. Interestingly and somewhat frustrating, a chunk of money went to turfing a public high school field. Seems like they could have leased field space from an already turfed field.

You looked at the tax returns?

agree, they pay coaches very well

some if not most do not deserve the pay they receive

at the cost of who?

I have seen a Player First initiative by many clubs...not sure they can promote much about players first

Yes, god forbid a club actually do something that benefits the community at large.

Incidentally, the reason other coaches leave for Piipeline, and why Pipeline is able to retain its core of coaches,is that they pay their coaches better than other clubs. Fancy that.

It sounds like you found a club you are happy with, no real reason for you to care what Pipeline does.

Cant get my head round the price for 6 and 7. Is this a full year program?

This is in line with what Pipeline has charged for the last 4+ years. Girls DA was over $4000, so top tier ECNL is still considerably cheaper. Pipeline gives over $100,000.00 in scholarships every year (this is on their website) and fully fund inner city soccer programs.

Also — Whoever believes a handful of emails is worth a million dollars is gullible. Pipeline doesn’t seem to be doing anything different this year in terms of tuition than years past, so I’m sure they’re doing just fine.
Meanwhile, you’ve got the owner of copper mine on the news crying about how they need to reopen.

Really? As a pipeline parent (at least until my son finds somewhere else to play), I haven’t heard this. Tell me more...

There isn’t anything to tell. Just trolls making up rumors because they’re worried about losing players. There’s no $1.5 mil loan, or even a crazy settlement like speculated above. Trust me, Pipelines not hurting.

Them collecting the first payment is on par with what they’ve done every single year. Since tryouts aren’t happening this year, every club is getting players to commit. Even Bethesda and MD United are doing the same thing.

That's usually how it works :/

We had 24 hours to commit to pipeline with a $2650 price tag for the season. They said that they would reimburse if season didn't happen but the 24 hours is a bit ridiculous when other clubs haven't even begun to figure out the non-tryout thing.

Celtics/BU are soliciting interested players and Coppermine/Premier always has an open door, so that’s not true.

The 24 hour commitment isn’t binding, you had a full two weeks to decide whether to pay the deposit.

2 weeks long enough

We do not have the money to commit right now

Some of us like to keep our word if we commit to a team. While there is nothing legally binding about the commitment, it is taking the spot from another child and I would hate to do that if my child is not serious or if we are still looking at other teams.
