People accepted adulthood along with adult responsibilities by their early/mid 20s.
They had no desire to play kickball or walk around town in the underwear in their 30s and well into their 40s.
My aunt started working full time at the Watergate right out of high school.

Here's a SHOCKER.

There were actually dogs in DC for decades before the gentrifiers arrived.

Over 30 years ago I myself used to walk my dog on Columbia Rd and I never thought of myself of being some sort of urban pioneer but I guess I was.

Finally, after decades of violence by blacks, non-blacks are coming back into town to reenact the happy times displayed in those pics.

You are a vile human

That's one option. Another is that I was just making fun of the stupid DC native who posted those pics as an example of how cool DC used to be.

Sarcasm: the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.

Let me guess: you're another not-very-smart DC native?

Not an example of how cool DC used to be but instead an example of how gentrifers are not the urban pioneers/pioneers of urban living that they like to claim that they are.

I see. The real pioneers were those all-white folks.

Planning to visit your brain doctor anytime soon?
