Get well soon, most awesome cat ever!

Yes, when we got home this evening she picked up his food dish and said "kitty go?" I reminded her that we brought him to the doctor because he was hurt and she seemed to remember. She came with me when I brought him in. She thought it was pretty cool having the cat in the car.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. He is a tough little guy and I am sure he will pull through. He has to!

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this! I will be thinking of Baby and hoping her little buddy is ok while she is recovering.

Anonymous wrote:My 7 month old LOVES our cat and will only nap if he is snuggling with her. She fusses if I put her down by herself, but the moment the cat jumps into the crib, all is well. Would you tolerate this? She has good head control at this point and weighs more than twice as much as the cat does. No allergies as far as I can tell. He doesn't sleep on her face but around her head with his paws on her forehead. He always wants to be around when it's naptime too, so it's like he wants to help. Is this ok?

My cat would have sooner cuddled with the vacuum cleaner than my baby. It has taken nearly 9 years for poor kitty relax enough to approach my younger kid.

Hi everyone, this is OP. Baby got out yesterday and was attacked by an owl. He is now in the kitty hospital. The doctor expects him to recover, but he is fighting an infection and is in a lot of pain. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Bummer! How old is your DD?

OP here. You are right -- he is the shizz! He actually used to sleep on my head before the baby came along. Those pictures aren't quite as cute.

Once again, I was really surprised to come here and see this thread on the first page. We just got home from a dinner party at which the blog was a topic of conversation. No one could believe how sweet the cat is with her. I feel very blessed that they get along so well.
