There is actually quite a respectful and intelligent discussion of both the pros and cons of opting out and the procedure for doing so on the Janney listserv. I thought about copying and pasting some of it here, but then I realized that while there is a good discussion of DC-CAS on the Janney listserv, that listserv lacks any discussion at all about toe shoes, toe shoe guys, danskos, dansko guys/gals, etc.

I decided to let a thousand threads bloom.
