Lots of BLC players, some YJ and stars, definitely including a few mediocre head scratchers. We also know a bunch of girls who got shut out completely who we would have thought of as blue contenders. Some strange decisions for sure

Also received a blue offer. Real head scratcher is an understatement. Know most of these players and something seems off.

Everyone has focused on club affiliation to make predictions on Blue make-up. However, HS affiliation may be playing a key role and leading to some of the head scratcher decisions. Look at who is coaching the Blue team, and you could easily see a big number of Saints girls selected. JB also seems to be throwing her weight around a bit with an increasing number of NCS girls selected. Would not be surprised to see some upcoming 29 Blue changes based on High School affiliation as well.

despite the perception the HS coach does not have much influence with these schools. Does not know newer, younger coaches.

who is coaching the blue team??

Kathy Jenkins

That’s a new rumor.

How is it favoritism? The private school girls have been playing on their school lax teams for two years instead of just playing rec. The reps that private school players get elevate their skills. The best players are selected.

Unless it is Heros, M&D or Skywalkers ....you should take the Orange spot. Additionally, I read somewhere that people would lean to M&D Red over Capital Orange. Our 2026 Orange team beat M&D Red and had a better recruiting outcome so not sure it is worth the drive. Just something to consider.
I thought game results didn't matter, I'm confused. Additionally, could you post the recruiting outcomes, because I read somewhere that M&D Red's were stronger. Thanks.

I agree game results do not matter but an earlier post eluded to M&D Red being a no brainer over Capital Orange so I wanted to point out that Capital Orange is right there with M&D Red and has indeed beat them. Like I said earlier....just something to consider when deciding to make the drive. Oh and here are the recruiting results. Again easily found all over the website.

Ok, thanks. You had mentioned Orange had better recruiting results, this makes more sense that M&D did. Still, Orange is an option for those in the DMV without easy access to M&D and can deal with what seems like the drama.

I think which had better results is a "to each their own" situation. Every family makes different decisions for different reasons. From an academic perspective the Orange list is more impressive than Red but again persepctives can be different.

This has been fascinating to watch.

Moco players are increasingly playing for Baltimore teams. My perception is that VA players tend to stay around DC. Are SSSAS girls becoming a larger part of the Capital Roster as Md players go to Baltimore?

BLC ending in 8th grade potentially accelerates the move for Md players to Baltimore.

This area should have two Elite clubs but only has one.

Really disappointing this is the status quo.

Yes especially SSSA girls who would likely to be on varsity as another freshman strategy to be developed for a championship in four years.

This theory would certainly make sense when you consider the strong Capital connection to SSSA from both a leadership and coaching perspective and the talent gap between the 27 Saints class and other classes.

They dont recruit you purely for academics

Obviously, but there are some blue girls who are both slow and poor students. Will they get better academic school offers?
