He has to. It's too late to change horses. The Democratic party can't undemocratically appoint a replacement candidate. That didn't work out for them in the Presidential election.
LOL! Please see: Torricelli, Robert G. The Democrats invented this game.
That was before people started voting.
I agree that allowing voting 6+ weeks before an election is dangerous. 1 week before? Fine.

LETS HOPE SO. we need someone that will hold Trump accountable
The fact that we have now stooped to hoping an unequivocally unfit candidate wins is so sad. The Democrats cannot get out of their own way, which is a pity because Spanberger is unequivocally qualified and that is being overshadowed by this Jay Jones BS.
To be fair, they don't run as a unified ticket. She didn't pick him. I think she is still very likely to win.
As much as I love early voting, this situation is one that gives me big pause. Like, maybe it should only be a month? The Dems are trapped now with a lousy candidate that people want dumped, but it is basically impossible because hundreds of thousands of people have already voted.
This story broke the day after my absentee ballot arrived. I would have voted for him but will now leave AG blank because I cannot bring myself to vote for either.

Anonymous wrote:Honestly, I’m not sure this is a tenable position for Democrats. Between the VA AG candidate and the socialist nominee in NYC it’s going to be a long for weeks. Something has to give.

Agree. Jay Jones is a silly little manchild who was groomed by his parents for a political career but never grew up or displayed the slightest maturity or good judgment. At this point the only question is how much damage he goes to Democrats in Virginia and other purple states.
