So true. I used to intern at the American Art Museum... nothing in the neighborhood... got sick of Chinese food for lunch real quick...

My friends and I used to go to a sketchy night club there. You were patted down at the door before you could enter. All pre-MCI Center (Verizon Center)...

Driving past "Resurrection City" on the Mall in DC in the summer of 1968 with my family. I was 9. We were stopped in traffic. A white guy hopped the fence to take a short cut across the corner of the area and a group of 8-10 men jumped him and took turns kicking him in the face. It was terrifying.

Going all the way in the back seat of a 1964 VW beetle. Oh to be 14 again when a VW back seat could shadow the thrill of a 5-Star hotel today.

Lowen's didnt sell toy guns, I will never forget going there to get one and they said they didn't sell them, I was o upset I said they should close this place and the next month it was closed.
