All schools have drama. Navy just had a lot of stay at home mommies with nothing better to do than constantly gossip on here and complain over a nothing burger. It's Sunday. It's a nice day. Go do something outdoors with your kiddos ladies.
Nope. Navy had a very lax previous principal who let too many things slide.
Though somehow it's academics are good.
Must be the result of being majority minority.
The academics are good because the academics are automatically going to be good at any school with a majority high SES Asian and Asian-American population. Take the population of your school and put it inside Dogwood Elementary and people would say it also has good academics after a year.
We get it, you are the same poster that said the majority minority mumbo jumbo earlier. Yes we all know you think Asians are so superior to all other races, especially the races that you mention at Dogwood. I have had multiple kids go to navy and I am pretty certain test scores were pretty much the same even before the increase in Asian enrollment. Two things for you lady, 1 - you are a racist and 2 - you are wrong. I would rather be around the parents at Dogwood than you. Go take a hike and get lost.
Way to miss the point. The point here was that the high achieving population (regardless of race) is what makes the school good. It has nothing to do with the school itself. If you stuck a population of children who come from low income, less educated parents (regardless of race) into Navy, they wouldn't get the test scores that Navy kids get now -- because Navy kids (regardless of race) come from wealthy, highly educated families.
Yes but the PP claimed it was due to the Asians.

Some of the AAP kids go to South Lakes via Langston Hughes
Navy doesn't feed into either of those. Only Oakton and Chantilly (very few, like 10%). Curious how it will be when they do the boundary changes.
Crossfield ES is the only elementary that sends kids to Navy for AAP. One neighborhood that goes to Crossfield sends kids to Hughes/South Lakes. Based on the number of kids that go to Navy from Crossfield, I'd guess this is 0 or 1 child every year.
I’ve never heard of this. What neighborhood is that?
Crossfield is a split feeder to South Lakes and Oakton High. The neighborhood immediately north of crossfield goes to South Lake.

See this chart, Crossfield AAP is feeding to Navy and then Carson and Hughes.
I already identified the actual neighborhood: Fox Mill Woods. It’s across from the Catholic Church off of Lawyers. They go to South Lakes.
This - it's zoned to Crossfield because it's directly behind the school and kids can walk there. I highly doubt that anyone from that neighborhood would send their kids to Navy for AAP though, when they are going to a different middle school and high school.

DP - wow, you're incredibly rude.
Wow what? Calling out a racist is not rude. Go be racist elsewhere.
DP No, it is rude. As global citizens we need to treat everyone with respect, even if their cultural values may be problematic.
