There is not one Opus Dei person that I know (and my kids went to the Heights) say a woman’s biggest calling is to be a wife and mother. They serve God as their highest calling. They would not say NFP is unnatural. They may choose not to use it. But they are not blasphemous about it either…, and even among that group only 1% have very large families so yes they use some form of birth control.

No. He gave the speech to a mainstream CATHOLIC college with a diverse student body, hectoring them with an extremely fringe orthodox view of Catholicism. That is why the actual Benedictine nuns connected to the college issued their statement against the speech. I am a Catholic and he was speaking to Catholic women and he spoke against the Catholic Church and Catholic teachings so yes, it is my place and my lane to point out where he is wrong and blasphemous.

Thinking the NFL is going to lose tons if money by women walking away is nonsense. It’s like women complaining the WNBA makes no money yet you don’t see them rushing to buy tickets.
The WNBA has sold out games and they are moving games to bigger venues to allow more tickets to be sold.
Also the NFL does not sell out games. Maybe 20% of stadium are sold out each Sunday.
