This puts DCPS on notice that they better do right by Hardy.
Maybe someone could encourage the Hardy parent organizers to help other parent communities at other schools to organize as well to pressure DCPS to improve learning conditions.
DCPS needs accountability as they get away with way too much crap
All the parents had to do was hold one zoom meeting and write one letter that got signed by parents. This was what the IS told the parents to do. Why the IS couldn’t run his concerns up the chain himself is unfortunate. It required the parents who hold a lot of power to speak up.

I mean beleive what you gotta believe about WHY you felt PJ had to go but the fact that he was removed and HOW he was removed is directly related to ya’lls clout in this City. To believe otherwise is naive and absurd and as others have tried to point out—reeks of your privilege and cluelessness. Do you believe if you were an upset group of Ward 8 parents any of this would have happened. Your collective refusal to acknowledge this makes it difficult to take any of you seriously.
It doesn’t matter that everyone at DCPS is black. You all represent the richest (and whitest) Ward in the City. DCPS knows who they CAN and CANT ignore. I don’t excuse any of it…but for Christ sake stop trying to deny it.
I wish living in the “richest and whitest” ward could fix this voucher problem up and down Connecticut Ave.

It was impressive that the parents were able to get organized in the way they did. That reflects the resources in terms of time, knowledge, organization, etc that parents were able to being to the problems.
I haven't seen any posts disputing that.
What I have seen is posters rejecting the idea that no change should happen because it's not also happening somewhere else that maybe it should be. That seems to be what you are saying: How dare those Hardy parents speak up when others don't/don't get heard?!
That's a silly conclusion.
What posters have said is that *all* parents should be heard and, if some are getting dismissed, them let's address that. But deciding that no problems should be fixed so all parents are equally unheard is a bizarre path to fairness.

Get off your snobby high horse. God some of you absolutely suck. Stop clutching your pearls and doubling down in your racist rhetoric because the teachers refuse to kowtow to you. Stop trying to discredit anyone who disagrees with you.
The only racist rhetoric here is that spread by those who insist that the requests for PJ to step aside we’re motivated by the color of their skin . I have seen or read absolutely nothing to indicate that this was the case. On the contrary, those jumping to PJ’s defense seem focused on little else other than his skin pigmentation, as if everything else should be completely ignored.
Please tell me this isnt fully thought thru. You're saying it's racist bc... The parents of ward 2 are the REAL victims here? OMG I don't know why I had higher opinions of DCUM posters. There really isn't any hope for your children.
NP. I am old enough to remember when people deflecting substantive arguments with false accusations of racism put in the effort. No, they didn't say W2 parents where the victims. They said people like you who falsely claim racism are in fact guilty of racism. They pointed out that the only defenses thus far are based on some unfounded accusation that he was fired for being black. They ignore that DCPS made their own findings and replaced him but you ignore that inconvenient fact and pretend like the parents fired him.
Racism is real. Black people are discriminated against every day in myriad ways. People like you make it harder to fight actual racism when you cry wolf in situations like this.
Only your claims of racism take effort. Got it!

The real victims are the DCPS students who suffer the consequences of attempts to weaponize identity politics and false accusations of racism to shield incompetent DCPS teachers and administrators.
I have no doubt you think you were doing it for the students. All you did was destabilize your kids school
As of last Thursday, the school was in free fall. Hard to destabilize that.
