Damn! If that’s true and I have no doubt it is there will be riots in the gated trailer parks tonight out in Haymarket tonight. 😂
Curious to read what happened? After the YHS destruction Battlefield appeared to be unstoppable. Curious what Robinson did to score 16.
There are no unstoppable teams in 6A this year. Battlefield is a solid team with some good players, but none that clearly standout over others. They are beatable. This formula doesn’t just apply to Battlefield, it’s the obvious answer to your question when playing good teams. Win the draw, control the ball, limit turnovers. All this translates into more time of possession, more shots, and more goals. Nothing magical here. With a score that high either the teams had sharpshooters that night or the goalies off nights.
There is usually no shortage of Battlefield posters on this board. Their silence hasn’t gone unnoticed. They’re usually the first to post scores and fish for comments on games hoping the board will mention Battlefield. Their first goal of running through the Ffx schools in search of relevance is gone, but they will still make the state finals given they play in the weakest region. Their team may not be up there with the better teams of past from the area but on any given Saturday they can pull off the win in June.
