You mean like my family member with an organ transplant who did not mount any immune response to their vaccines due to immune suppressing drugs? Do what you want with your own life but mocking others’ distress at a life threatening illness makes you a bad person.

Those cotton masks you see in grocery stores give you a false sense of security that brings more danger to your baby. If you’re this paranoid, better to just see someone’s face so you know to keep your distance.

We are so close to a vaccine for kids under five that it is infuriating to feel dismissed here and else where like kids are fine so get over it. It really is selfish to expect the world to cater to you, but I’ve been a parent infants and remember I felt that way at the time also.
It’s selfish to expect society to care enough to mask in the grocery store until my baby can get a vaccine hopefully in just a few months? I don’t care what else people do. But I would like to do essential errands safely. It’s actually not a lot to ask to care about others enough to wear a mask in the produce section. Glad you aren’t my in laws!

As another parent of children under 5, don't feel the need to wear a mask for us.
The stomach bug we just went through was way worse than our bout with Covid.
Every infant I know who has had CoVID got it from daycare or their parents. Not a stranger walking by at wegmans.

Are you going to suggest we now also institute mask mandates every flu season since kids are similarly at risk to that as Covid?
And you really don’t know we’re close to a vaccine for kids under five. You could have just as easily made the same statement last summer and you would have been wrong.

It’s not, but outcomes/severity are similar in kids between Covid and the flu. A lot of people seem to forget that since Covid is much more severe than the flu in adults. Or at least it was before they could be vaccinated.
You mean immediately identifiable outcomes are comparable. Still way too soon to know the long term effects and outcomes.

Regardless, you do realize Covid will become endemic, and that ultimately everyone will be exposed sooner or later, don't you?

Infants have had bad cases of covid and died.
Indeed. Ever look at first-year all-cause mortality rates? Covid isn’t a uniquely high risk.
