Formula 1 has announced that the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will not take place in April due to the war.
The announcement had been widely expected and the statement by the Liberty media-owned sport and governing FIA said the races will not be replaced on the calendar next month.
“While alternatives were considered, no substitutions will be made in April”, the statement added.

The administration of President Donald Trump has warned that news outlets could have their broadcasting licences revoked over critical reporting on the war against Iran, accusing the media of “distortions”.
Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr said in a social media post on Saturday that broadcasters must “operate in the public interest”, or else lose their licences.
