Yes. Agree. It was such an over the top dedication implying forever love. What were they thinking? She could’ve made an ig post dedicating to him that could’ve been deleted later or at least it’s just online and not published making her a fool

As ridiculous as the whole relationship charade has been, the worst part IMO is the cookbook dedication. Her PR person is a jerk for encouraging it. Tyler himself should have stopped it if he has any decency. He certainly wasn’t dedicating his books to her simultaneously. And where were her friends and family and assistant and editor on that one?!! Uggh. Her first huge post-divorce project, one she had been dreaming about and working toward for years…and his name is stamped on there forever. Undeserving, even if he is complicit in the rest of the mess. To me, it’s the most embarrassing part of their whirlwind pretend romance. The rest of the dates and photos and podcasts and innuendos will fade into oblivion in 2023, but his name is centrally located in her cookbook dedication forever.

PP here- I dumbly did not split up the sentence/thought cleanly. I meant to express (clumsily) that these influencer wannabes never apologize or call something a mistake. They spin any and everything into a yarn of self-discovery and improvement. They are never in the wrong or make a misstep. I was just saying that I could see Jen spinning this not-great relationship into a humblebrag of her loving too much.

Stop taking this woman’s trauma personally. Rebound relationships are ubiquitous. Jen is in lots of great company, probably some of her critics here even. It’s just that most people don’t have to process their breakups, trauma, and rebounds so publicly. The only way she’s profiting off of sharing this relationship is if willing participants support it. She’s annoying, but she’s no cult leader. Anyone supporting her is doing so willingly. Jen deconstructed at a time when life T’s of American women were deconstructing. Her common experience keeps her relevant. She’s not leading the pack, she’s just a voice for many who are having parallel experiences.
