Subject: ECNL forcing Brave & Union Partnership

If I have overlooked some data please write in, but sentimential statement like “we hope for the best” or “stop trashing FVU” misses the point of my post which is really trying to be objective and data based. Not trying to offend anyone.
Yeah, but was is the point of keep beating the same data day after day? Results will for sure show next season. Let them be!

Those players left for better teams to get more playing time? That doesn’t make sense.

The Union 2011s who departed for other teams generally left for more playing time. Some were starters and some were not. Some did not get offers. I don't blame anyone for moving on.
For all of those who did not play sports at much a level growing up or maybe can't remember, I'm here to tell you that a lot changes for girls between 7th and 9th grade. Players can improve dramatically during this phase. And keep improving. Others get injured, burn out, or choose another sport all together. Things change on all fronts. I wouldn't write off any team or player too soon !

There were many players who did not made it, and were very good players. These favors the ECNL regionals teams, since teams will get better. Please stop the hate to FVU, for all those stayed best of luck next season!

We’re getting a large number of Brave players. I’m excited for it. What’s not to like about new talent? The coaching situation is the biggest Q. But in this area, that can change at any time on almost any team.
It is a little sad for some of the current players who didn’t get an offer, but again, that’s BAU for travel soccer, especially at higher levels. We are good friends with many, and know they will do well on their new teams and clubs. Some we will play against, which is always a little weird, but again, nothing new.
While there were a few mild surprises, if you had asked in advance who on the current team wouldn’t get an offer, most could have accurately predicted it. We lost a few starters, but again, that happens BAU, and I believe would have happened even without the merger.
We know the roster and the new players, and I’m optimistic the team will improve considerably. It felt fair in the end.

This current page is basically dedicated to saying the 2011’s will fail. Somehow the 2011’s are the only age group that finishes lower than this past year after combining their teams according to prediction guy.

Unfortunately, I could see FVU 2011 girls at the bottom of the table next season. They’re definitely not getting better due to the Brave merger and they lost a few of their best players. They were the worse ECNL team in the state of VA this year. Hope things turn around for this age group!
