More parents need to think like you. Besides the small few who go on to the pros or coaching, who cares about a 12 year old playing a game with a stick and a ball. All youth sports nowadays has gone too far and parents push kids too hard and pay for things that don't even matter.

If your son is in an elite club that is considered good for recruiting, be prepared to fend off some of the best players trying to make the team.

As you get into the recruiting years (9th, 10th grade), there is a lot of movement heading into 8th grade as players try to get into a club with a good track record for recruiting.

Can someone explain to me what happens during middle school (7th/8th grade) with some of the elite lacrosse clubs? I heard there is a "redistribution of players" aligning for HS, but I don't quite understand what that means.
I have a 6th grade son playing on an "elite" team. He's been on the team since 4th grade, although he may not be the superstar, he is an average contributor. I don't have the same "connections" with the coaches or organization that some of the other dads seem to have, but I am a caring/invested parent and we get along with all of the families.
