Because the tournament is called "Nationals" it is hardly a "National Championship", in fact it has the weakest pool of teams of any of the "major" summer tournaments.

I agree. Say what you will about MD teams, they do not have any of mass hysteria and financial burdens of trying out for their teams as Capital does. It was truly a miserable experience and I hope parents push back on all of the pointless clinics and HB sessions.

Pride would have been better off staying together than disbanding and collecting a few players from other teams. I am not sure how players from NL is an upgrade. Capital blue is an upgrade for stars and next level players and a downgrade for Pride players.
Capital will be lucky to break top 20 next year. Drop from 7 to 20 makes me think he is right.
Let's analyze this one. So--you take 11 players from a team that rose to #7, combine with talented and athletic teammates adding some missing pieces, and give them a proven and effective Head Coach and AC who just took Capital Blue 2025 team all the way to number 1 (finished at #2)--and yet you think they will drop precipitously in the rankings and be much less competitive.
I can't follow the logic.
Please. That 2025 wasn't from Capital, that is Stone Ridge, Visitation, Potomac and SSSA. Thats why you see the real jump in the 2025 standings occur after their Sophomore HS years. And that team has some major horses. Seems the Maryland teams can play in the big leagues without blowing up their teams to create a HS all-star team.....
I suspect the 2028s will also have players that attend high schools.
No one believes Capital develops players, they just showcase talent developed by others.
Who cares?! That is exactly what the players want to showcase their talent!

1) KJ is the best coach in the area. girls were sold at Stars that KJ will get them ready for HS and Capital. What she did was destroy the confidence of most of the girl and supported and played favorites with the SSSA girls. She may have been a good coach in the past, but that was when girls were using wooden sticks strung with sinew from a buffalo.
2) Girls are Stars Navy were better then LB players: I will admit there were 2 maybe 3 that should have been on LB, but were pushed down by KJ (start smelling a trend here) to support SSSA girls...who weren't very good. However....those 2-3 girls did not make Capital either....as they were not "privileged" to attend SSSA.
3) Brian (Blue Head Coach) picked his team for Blue. God only knows what bafoon selected the girls for the Orange team (caveat, there are a few girls who deserve to be there and earned their spots)...the rest are SSSA (check the numbers). Again....going with KJ here.
4) Blue will be good. They will be top 10 despite lack of SSSA girls
5) Pride has a successful early development program because they do just that...develop. the 28 team has been building over 5 years (yes...since 3rd grade).
6) Katie (or whoever runs Pride) is a fool NOT to suck up to each and every player on the 28 team and beg them to stay together.
7) The Orange team will not break top 50. The Great Falls or Vienna Rec team could beat them.
That is all....
Best post in 300+ pages.

Yeah, those players went from the #7 team in the nation to #15. Lets see if they can close the gap over the next two years with the "just fine" Capital Blue.
