+1. I am so pleased we have the Virginia schools in state. Two of my three kids weren’t even candidates for UVA but got great educations at other VA schools. But the third is a superstar and she’s now at Oxford courtesy of the programs, tutoring, faculty and wonderful letters of recommendation written by the “overrated” UVA profs. Considering how many other UVA students are at Oxford right ( and some “at the other place” which is what Cambridge is called) now, whether on Rhodes, Marshall, Barry or Fulbright, you have to admit UVA is doing something right.
