The black community is hurting themselves acting like this and rioting. Giving the media what it wants. Stop it!
"The black community" aren't the only people protesting...
True, but they’re the only ones looting.
Focusing on the looting = waving the confederate flag.
Did you get our your special tiki torches out on Memorial Day?
This is a weak statement.
The rioting and looting were a result of the reaction to this awful death.
They are hurting innocent business owners, destroying property, and causing the taxpayers of the city undue costs.
The police station and police cars that were damaged and destroyed? They'll be repaired and replaced - at the taxpayers expense.
Rioting and looting is just stupid and short sighted. Many were simply taking advantage of a bad situation. The people there who were protesting should speak out against these criminals.
The only criminals we really need to focus on right now are the killer cops.
Your continued focus on looting says a lot about you.
Really? Looting going on right now at the Target in Minneapolis.
When you come out to protest, and you start stealing stuff, you become a thief.
When you come out to protest, and you start burning stuff, you become an arsonist.
Thieves and arsonists are criminals.
The justice system will take care of the cops. Hopefully, the justice system will also take care of the criminals who are taking advantage of this situation.
Looting isn’t the issue here.
. . .
Really?
- what about all the sick people who depended on the pharmacy for their life-saving medications?
- how about those who depended on the Target minute clinic?
- and now the Target employees there are unemployed. For what?
Those looters just victimized countless innocent people right there in their own community.
But you don’t think it’s an issue at all??!?![]()
+1000 There are consequences for innocent people who did nothing wrong. There is absolutely nothing high and mighty about looting and rioting. It's out of control mob behavior.
In response to an out-of-control racist police force who MURDERED someone because of the color of their skin.
So in retaliation you get to steal a big screen t.v. from Target and torch a nearby apartment complex? Explain to me how this rights any wrongs? Answer: it doesn't. Two wrongs do not make a right.

The police "force" did nothing of the sort. Four officers were involved.
Do you have any idea how many officers there are in Minneapolis?

Better check in with their black racist police chief.
He may not be racist, but he is a cop so he will protect his fellow officers.
That’s why this bullshit continues because cops don’t hold each other accountable.
Yes, and the head of the police union is a racist pig. He is a huge Trump supporter and rides in a white supremacist motorcycle club.
I’m sure he has inserted himself in the situation.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:If the black chief picked only black cops to service their black community, then what?
Wasn’t one of the cops in this situation black? Or is that an inconvenient fact that goes against the narrative that only white cops kill black people?

Black lives matter more than Target stores. It's pretty simple. And I live in South Minneapolis. I've gone to that Target many times. We have hundreds more and tons of Minute Clinics. This is Minneapolis, HQ of Target - we aren't suffering for retail options. Get a sense of perspective.
We only had one George Floyd, and we can't bring him back.

Vote for the change you want.
I tried that. The change we got is so NOT the change that I want.
Here's the other thing: if you're a member of a minority group in a majority/winner-takes-all society, voting is just one small step -- and it's often an ineffective one. I will always vote. Too many people died for my right to do so for me to willingly give that up. But I have no illusions about how far that vote is likely to take me in the direction of the changes that I want to see.
Anonymous wrote:To all of you arguing that the looting and destruction of property was justified because the black community is tired, angry and oppressed, why don’t you invite them to loot your home or business? Because last I checked, the business owners didn’t have anything more to do with this man’s death than you did. So come on, put your money where your mouth is and let them have at it.

I mentioned in a PP that many cops have Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I think that is the heart of the issue and why cop Chauvin (filled with spiked adrenaline) would not stand down, even when many citizens and the Floyd were begging him.
Floyd's sister and many other African Americans do not support the looting. They know the looting is a disgrace. It is unfortunate that unabiding citizens are taking advantage of this incident.
For the millionth trillionth time, black people can participate in a racist system just like white people. Doing something racist with your black home doesn't make it any less racist. Committing a racist and cold blooded murder with your brother in blue who happens to be black does not make it any less of a racist cold blooded murder.
And while we're at it, neither do the following absolve you of racist behavior:
- having a black friend
- having a black family member
- being married to a black person
- raising a black child
- living near a black person
- having a black coworker
- employing a black person
- enjoying black culture
- voting Democrat
- attending a protest or rally
Mmkay?
I agree, but don’t say “mmkay,” please. It makes you sound like a stupid teenager.
Mmkay Karen. Anything else about the way I behave and exist that you'd like to change?
