Ugh. If true, that's pretty sick. Putting peoples' lives at risk in order to try and win elections?

Is it true? DCUM trusts anything that fits its narrative. I’d love to see how FOX is doing all it can to push ‘vaccination disinformation’. Aside from the obvious hyperbole, it misses a lot of possibilities.

half vaxed: 89.1%

? 12+ fully vaxxed is 80.8%? Fully vaxed adults i 68.5%? So 12+ as a higher rate of vax than adults? Really?

Yes. 12-18 year old still have parents who are getting them vaccinated. MoCo still has Republicans who are probably refusing to get vaccinated.

Sadly, not wrong. It is appalling to me that they are able to get any votes

I don't believe this. The states that have the highest rates are red states with Republican governors.

Highest rates of what? Not vaccination rates.

Infections. Missouri and Arkansas. Missouri has several full hospitals. They reported just under 1,600 new cases yesterday. For reference, they have about the same population as Maryland which reported 55 cases yesterday.
Missouri population:6.137 million
Maryland population: 6.046 million
Missouri COVID cases on 7-7-21: 1,588
Maryland COVID cases on 7-7-21: 55
Missouri half-vaxed: 45.4%
Missouri fully vaccinated: 39.4%
Maryland half-vaxed: 62.5%
Maryland fully vaccinated: 56.7%

Exactly. They see a recurring threat from COVID as helping them, somehow. It is really warped. If the economy doesn't improve for some people, they won't vote for the dems.

The problem of course, is that most of the people getting sick and dying are the unvaccinated ones - who are mostly in red areas. So in a sense, the GOP is harming their own voters to pwn the libs.

Go figure.

Is there a vaccine that prevents being obsessed with Trump?

Republicans wouldn't take that one, either.

Why didn't Trump do a big PSA for people to get the vax that he said he should get credit for? The other POTUS did it. Where were the Trumps? Why did they get the vax secretly? Trump did "advise" people to get the vax, but he didn't really push for it. I wonder why? Can a R answer that?

Sadly, Nevada is impacted because Vegas.

Dems should not travel perhaps? That spreads virus.

Dems have been vaccinated for the most part. Not as much of an issue.

It's more of an issue for those pro-life Bible thumpers, who tend to be Republican.

'Bible thumpers' include lots of POC, including Democrats. The provincialism and naivete of this board is disturbing.

DP, but you are ignoring the bar chart posted above, that shows that GOP are the largest group of anti-vaxxers in the US. Yes, poor people are hard to reach and African-Americans have a reason to be distrustful, but the numbers don't lie.

I'm afraid it *only* shows that of *those* groups the GOP is the largest group.

People can classified into many, many groups with different overlapping characteristics dependent on the person. Saying one or the other group is the 'largest group of anti-vaxxer in the US' isn't anywhere near as easy and simple as you pretend it to be.

What does that have to do with the appalling anti-vaccination sentiment within the GOP?

I take the view that getting the largest number of people of vaccinated, aka as close to broad protection, is a more important thing than falling for a simple political narrative.

Yes, that certain Republicans make hay about vaccines is bad, but I don't see it as half the story many of you would like it to be.

Good for you, most everyone else takes the same view. That's why it's so appalling to see the low vaccination numbers for Republicans
