What's with the energy drinks? If I'm sitting around in PJs working from home, no commute, no business dress and hair/makeup, the last thing I need is to be pumped up on Monster.

If i were a select I would get deeply offended. My staple of the fridge. King of soups and snacks. You rock Baby! They all will be back crowling...begging to take them back. Tell them go to ..pretz..hell..s

The celery thing just means celery sales are down from before. Remember when everyone wanted to make celery juice and you couldn’t find celery anymore? I bet the current drop in sales is compared to that time when celery was hot.

I think the logic is that you really *need* water to live. If there's a wide-spread quarentine, and then something normal but unrelated happens (water main break or whatever), the typical response time will be drastically slower. So having some water on hand will help you easily get through the time until the system is back up and running.

Can’t you just use the water from the hot water tank?

Well we have an in-line water heater, so nope, we can't.
So spending a few bucks for some extra water seems like not a big deal.

Sure. Or the toilet tanks.

Or spend $3 at Costco to get a case of water.

Many options.

But why water if you have home filters?

What if something happens to the water supply, the electricity supply and/or the workers get too sick to go to work. These are obviously worst case scenarios, but that is what people are prepping for.

Y'all are crazy. This isnt ebola.

Ebola kills so quickly its spread is much easier to stop.

We always have some amount of water on hand - for any possible emergency.

Doesn't take much to get the "boil" warning from local water service.

What's the expiration date of those eggs?

Eggs last way beyond the expiration date.

Worst case you make a frittata and freeze it.

OK, thanks. Can you define further "way beyond expiration date"? One month? Two months?

We've eaten them a month past. The older the egg the easier they are to peel if you make hard-boiled eggs.

Now?! I started 2 weeks ago, when everyone was calling me crazy.

You know what was actually crazy, the people at Costco yesterday. I walked and walked right back out.

+1. Now, I couldn't bear to walk into a Costco. I could hardly stand my last visit to the neighborhood CVS, where I was one of three customers, but I could hear the sniffles of the other two, two aisles away from me.
